I heard it through the grapevine that Michael (and a loyal cast member) might get ousted from the show temporarily (if not indefinitely).

I'm not trolling, I actually read this somewhere.

Anyone have any information on this?

If you read it somewhere, can you post a link to the reference? I read the Office threads religiously, and nobody here has mentioned anything about that.

Here is the link (http://blog.zap2it.com/korbitv/2009/02/exclusive-is-michael-scott-leaving-the-office-.html). It came from a Zap2it article but it was clarified here (http://blog.zap2it.com/korbitv/2009/02/you-ask-i-answer-the-office-brothers-sisters-er-desperate-housewives.html).

He is not leaving.

NOTE: Those links contain a major casting "spoiler" about an upcoming guest star and certain plot points revolving around him.

It's more speculation than anything, but it's out there.

This scares me.

The Office is pretty much useless without Michael Scott.

Damn. Beat me to it. :)

That's great news though.

Sorry to scare anyone. :P

I think what the original article was trying to imply . . .

Michael may be leaving the Scranton office of Dundler Mifflin -- at least temporarily -- in a grand Jerry Maguireish "I'm outta here!" exit -- but he is not leaving the show. So even if he leaves "the office" he is not leaving The Office. Like when Jim went to Stamford and Pam went to NY, they were still on the show.

or even like when...

Dwight started working at Staples after he 'quit' because he covered for Angela's mistake. This isn't a spoiler, but it doesn't make sense without the real possible spoiler. :P

Sounds good to me Micheal is usually my least favorite part of any episode. If that leads to more jim and dwight then I say hell ya.
