View Full Version : SPROUT and the inaccurate schedule

Hi,

It is my first post so be kind.

I just purchased 2 HD Tivo's to replace the 3 ReplayTV's and set them up to record all of the shows my toddlers love (and I cannot stand :>) )

Most of the shows start 5 minutes into the recording which ends up chopping off the end of the show.

Is this a normal thing with Sprout?

I realize i can extend the recording, but it seems the shows vary on start time and length.

Any way to notify the Guide folks to update the schedule, or is this a Sprout issue?

Totally normal with sprout. Try doing a manual recording for say a two hour block. Then ffwd to what you want. Sprout is the worst when it comes to this.

It wasn't like this until a couple of months ago, at least with Caillou. I just had to extend the recordings by 10 minutes and that covered it.

Send an email to Sprout. They are the ones that give the guide data to Tribune Media.

I wish they had Sprout on all the Directv basic packages vs. having to buy the family pack or upper end packages.

Back in the early days when we had Dtv pretty much all plans had Sprout and my little girl loved it...and we figured our littlest one would soon enjoy it as he gets bigger.

I'm not willing to pay more a month though just to add that channel or change packages to get it.

You could get it for a month a build up a library of shows.
Put them on DVD.
