Frankly, I don't know why I received the invite. It came via e-mail, and when I double-checked my settings, I hadn't selected that I was interested in doing surveys. But that is an option you can select in your profile.

There was a TiVo Guy/Gold Star promo item on TiVo Central a few weeks ago about this. I presume I received the e-mail because I "answered" the Gold Star.

Gold star promos seem to be on an individual basis. I often see that my two S3s get different promotions, for whatever the reason.
