I have a Tivo HD that can connect consistently to the service, and the signal strength runs 70%-90% as a result of a Linksys Range Expander. The Tivo passes the Port Configuration Test.
I have about a 50% success rate transferring programs from the Tivo to the Desktop software on my PC (hardwired to the router). Often when I pick programs to transfer, I will get a message that there are no DVRs connected. I can consistently ping the Tivo from the PC with anywhere from a 2-4ms (no transfer) latency to a 2-30ms latency (during transfers).
I have about a 10% success rate of having the published music/video/pics folder showing up in "Music Photos and More". All other items (You Tube, Yahoo Traffic, games, etc.) display normally.
These issues exist with either the 2.6.2 or the 2.7 Desktop software, which I have installed and uninstalled multiple times. I have also tried to versions of the router firmware, tried both DHCP and multiple static IPs for the Tivo, with no success.
In summary, the Tivo has no problem connecting to the internet to download schedules, etc., but there appears to be a problem in allowing the Tivo to see the PC and vice versa.
Looking for any ideas in how to solve these issues would be greatly appreciated.
