Sound stutters when button pushed

Good morning Tivo Community,

I've searched for this topic before, but none of the issues is the same as mine...so here it goes.

I have a S3HD tivo. My problem is that the tivo sounds (any sound from the push of a button on the remote) repeat 6 or 7 times when you push a button. To clarify, when I push a button instead of 1 ding to confirm, I get 6 or 7. This started quite some time ago. The frequency of the problem has increased to require a reset to clear the issue every day.

Anybody else have this? Any advice?

I guess the lack of responses is pretty telling, but I'd just like to be sure that nobody has heard of an issue like this.
