Having to do list problem

I just got my tivo hd all setup on my twc cable system. The problem is I setup all my all season passes for my shows and all my shows on cbs hd and abc hd in the to do list are saying none scheduled, I know that they are on the list and they are new shows. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this going to be a problem with cbsHD and abcHD. thanks

It takes about 24 hours for your new TivoHD to download and process all of the guide data. Check your ToDo List tomorrow - it should list all your shows.

Be aware that there's alot of shows that are taking a break and showing re-runs for one reason or another out into the first week of March so far. For the life of me I can't figure out why, isn't March sweeps week this year?

The thing is if i do a search for the show it comes up on the SD channel but not the HD channel it is a new show(lost, CSI), if I go to the guide I can find it, if I try to record the show it will let me, if I try to do a season pass on the show it will setup the season pass but will not schedule it in the to do list. It is almost like the tivo's season pass engine is skipping those two channels..

See post 2. It takes about 24 hours or so for the Guide to index everything. before it finishes doing that you will get the symptoms you describe.

My guess is that tivo starts indexing on channel 1 and works its way up. In my area the HD channels on BHN are all at the upper end of the channel lineup and are indexed last. Fortunately this is only a 1 time occurance.

I plan on waiting 24hrs before calling anyone but the funny thing is that nbc ch 504 is working great but cbs ch506 not working fox ch 507 is working. I hope this is just a software update thing. I love the tivo for everything else.

Do you have a cable card?
If not, read the thread on QAM mapping and then order a cable card.

I have cable cards installed yes.. I can view and record on these channels just can't use season pass.

Just to chime in, I'm having the same problem with Battlestar Galactica on SciFiHD. I set up a season's pass and for two weeks in a row, it hasn't recorded it. The first time this happened, it said that there was another episode of the same name on the To Do list (which there wasn't) and the second time it said that I didn't have access to the channel (which I do).

Can you double-check your To Do List log for last Friday? What does it say for 9pm?

Sorry for not posting. It did fix itself. I have to wonder way it takes so long to deal with its own software updates. Now just waiting for a turning adapter from TWC. thanks for all your help guys

It that it has to build the database it uses to cross reference every keyword, every actor, every genre, from every show, on every channel for 2 weeks and build its database so it can do a proper search. and it can't access a partial database. From now on it only has to do daily maintenance on struff that is 2 weeks out so it and it can be added after ithe information is compiled. IOW it only needs to do this when it is starting from scratch.

Well, right after I posted I was having grey screen problems and it took two service appointments to get someone who knew what they were doing. I probably was lucky it only took two!

So, what I did was to tell it to record all BSG (first run and repeat) and then just manually delete the reruns. I'm too scared to try it the regular way (the way it should work) cause the season's almost over! I'll have to test it on something else and let you know.
