My DVR Expander can not connect AC power

I just bought a My DVR Expander and can not get the AC power supply to plug into the unit, I keep trying to "force" the cord into hole but it won't fit, it's like it won't catch the little prong hole in the unit.

Has anyone else had this problem? Do I have a defective unit? Or power cord?

Do I have a defective unit? Or power cord?One or the other. Either way, an RMA is in order.
