View Full Version : Comcast HD in Santa Cruz, CA?

I have searched high and low, but haven't been able to find a current listing of HD channels offered by Comcast in Santa Cruz, CA. The channel lineup on the Comcast website hasn't been updated since 2007; the only movie channel listed is HBO HD.

I am switching to Comcast from DirectTV (mostly to get locals in HD, and it's cheaper), but can't for the life of me find out what channels I am going to get.

Can anyone help?

Probably would best to go to the Comcast office in Santa Cruz or maybe search/ask in this thread:

Tivo gets similar? guide info from www.zap2it.com but its from Tribune Media.

The channels you receive will depend on what cable plan/channel set you choose as well as prices.

Hmm. What I'm really curious about is HD movie channels. On the phone the Comcast rep told me that "of course" I would get Showtime, etc. in HD, but I'm not so sure. Zap2it doesn't list any other movie channels other than HBO in HD.

Any Santa Cruz Comcast people here who can help?

i don't get premium stations, but am almost positive we don't have SHOHD - though of course do have HBOHD.

the HD that show up on my channel list are:

I checked on www.zap2it.com using the zipcode 95064 and comcast list some HD in the 700+ channel range.

About 10 lousy compressed channels from the Scotts Valley Comcast office. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. And they have the nerve to charge so much! Comcast sucks!

The Comcast upgrade in the Bay Area isn't (once again) including Santa Cruz.

Anyone know if there's a way to find out what their plans are for here - in which decade we might expect more HD?
