I can't think of a real tv channel that is on Freeview and not Sky - and many of those which are on both have reduced hours on Freeview.

One of the watch some ugly bird wiggle channels has a poor video feed on Freeview - which I think is only on Freeview - but I don't know as I don't watch them. :)

Sky Sports News, TMF and The Hits all seem to be full time or near full time channels on Freeview that are pay channels on Sky. Doesn't really matter for TMF or The Hits as there are several other FTA music channels available with a Freesat Sky box that are not on Freeview. Sky Sports News is only really a loss for those of you who like football. Channels such as Virgin1 and UK History are FTA on Freesat but pay on Sky but are only part time hours as Ozsat suggests.

I assume you must refer to the FTA music channels ozsat as the many other "watch some ugly bird wiggle" FTA channels seem to only be in the 900 range on Sky and only then on air late at night. Not that I ever watch them you understand but some bloke down at the pub mentioned to me that they existed.;)

If your Freeview box has an RF modulator (that is it also has a signal on its coax output and can be tuned in on Ch 21 to 69 on your tv) as all old OnDigital boxes did and certain other Freeview boxes did/do then you could use it as a secondary tv source (via RF) to your Sky HD box while using the Scart connection for the Sky box to the Tivo. This gives you all the FTA channels available on Sky as well as Freeview

However you may feel that the free channels on Freeview aren't worth having and for simplicity you just want to use the Sky HD box On the other hand the Freeview box can let you watch another channel live on your tv while the Tivo is recording off Sky if you also attach it to your Video Scart socket on the Tivo and then hit the VCR button having tuned to the right channel on the Freeview box.

This recent thread is discussing the same questions and there are also links to the thorny topic of the radio channels on a Sky box if you do decide you just want to use the Sky box as your only source for the Tivo. Otherwise you would record any radio programs you want to record off the Freeview box instead (assuming its one that doesn't split the radio and tv channel sections).

There is now an 'ugly bird wiggling (and other things)' channel on Freeview - which does not need any password access.

So I've heard.

I think that's probably the Mary Whitehouse approved version though (Nuts Tv or something).

I hear the free wiggling birds channels on Sky get a lot ugglier. Not to mention the two Movies4Men channels late at night.

Pete now awaits the inevitable complaint from one of the forum's few female members (not that many of them seem to be ardent feminists) complaining about the mod starting a sexist discussion.;)

It is not sexist - I would say if there was an ugly blokes channel too.

The Freeview version is topless etc.

There seems to be no market demand from the ladies though despite these supposed times of sexual equality in which we live.
