I bought a 2nd TiVoHD. Verizon is coming out Thursday to install what I think will be an 'M' card. I told the Verizon guy to order a second 'M' card to replace the 2 'S' cards in my first TiVoHD.
The first TiVoHD has been working perfectly for a couple of years with the 2 'S' cards. Are there any problems or issues with pulling the 2 'S' cards and replacing them with an 'M' card?
My goal is to save a little money and I've heard that the Motorola 'M' cards are improved over the 'S' cards.

Should be fine.
Makes sense, you're already paying for the truck roll.

It's pretty lame for Verizon to charge you for two S cards on a single set, but might as well get double the performance for the price of one.

What's to say they won't charge you more for the one M-card to the tune equaling the two S-cards?

You're right about the truck roll. The Verizon guy apologized saying that someday they may ship the cards for self-install.
I thought that I read here that 'M' cards are available in N. Texas, but I guess I won't know for sure until Thursday.

Because they don't do that.

Follow up.
The Verizon guy arrived at about 9am with two cards that he thought were M cards. We stuck one in the new TiVoHD and it showed up as an S card. He called his supervisor to find out if he should be able to get M cards. He was told that they should only be installing M cards now. He went to his depot and came back about 20 mins later with 2 M cards. One was for the new TiVoHD and the other was to swap 2 S cards out of a two year old TiVoHD.
His activation from his laptop didn't work so he had to call an "NT" who requested the info and did the activation. It went perfectly and I'm up and running with M cards in each TiVoHD. So I'm still only paying for 2 cards, but I've now got 2 TiVoHD's.
