Hi,

I want to copy "all" of my old TiVo Series 2 (Philips DSR 704) HDD, including Season Pass, Wish List, etc., to a new, larger HDD.

Is this the correct setup to do it:

1) Put mfslive-1.3b.iso disk in CD tray in computer and close.

2) Turn off and unplug the computer.

3) Take the ribbon cable connected to the computer's Master HDD and connect it to "old" TiVo HDD (set to Master).

4) Connect the new, larger HDD to the second connector on the same ribbon cable (new HDD set to Slave).

5) Plug the computer back in and turn it on.

If the above is correct, I'm not sure about the next steps. When I turn the computer on, will it boot from the disk, or do I do an F8 to boot from the disk? And, are there on-screen prompts for what to do next? Is there anything else I need to know?

Thanks.

I suggest asking this in the "Upgrade Center" section. Just be sure that you use a CD burning utility to burn the .iso as an "image" rather than just a file.

You may also want to check out MFS Live/Win.

Hi stevel,

Thanks for the link — now I'm more confused than ever

I'll repost this in the "Upgrade Center" and see what happens.
