TIVO HD Ser3. Just OTA Antenna, no cable card etc.
Had another local station go digital a few weeks ago. I performed a scan to find the new station. New channels 21.1, 21.2 & 21.3 came in fine. Problem is one of my old channels (7.1) is now blank. No sound and no picture. No searching for signal on antenna input message, just blank screen. However this channel did show up on channel 18.1 with picture and sound (no guide info). Channel 18 is the actual channel of this station before channel remapping. I did a rescan and channel 18.1 went away but channel 7.1 is still blank. I see other posts with PSIP mentioned but no fixes listed. Went round and round with TIVO techies with no solution. Last level 2 tech claims week signal although TIVO says 79%. Channel 7.1 is fine on my TVs tuner and on my Dish network receiver’s OTA tuner. Tech claims TIVO needs higher signal level for proper operation. I highly doubt this. I’m an A/V tech myself so I temporarily set a new antenna in my living room and hooked it right to the TIVO. Got signal up to 86% on channel 7.1. Restarted TIVO, rescanned, reset TIVO, still have a blank channel. I’m going on three weeks now. Is there anything else I can try?
