OK guy's I had a gift from my daughter of a TiVo series 2, I'm currently expecting lay off from work and do not want extra expense.
I have absolutely no intention of paying TiVo for any service but do want to use the unit as a basic DVR, I want to set it to record same as the old fashioned VCR.
I have allready run the automated set up and now it insists I must pay for the service and will not let me record anything.
Is there any way to run this thing as a straight forward DVR? or am I stuck with a useless piece of junk?
