need to reset password on pioneer 810h

i just bought a used pioneer 810h series 2 tivo .and i do not have the password to rest the unit .can any one please tell me how. i do not care about loseing any info on there now thank you.

Password resetting is accomplished via Satellite. You have to call directv and have a CSR do it for you. :)

There is no way to reset the password that I am aware of unless you reset it by calling Tivo. ;)

yes, the code i need is the parental guide code. i bought the tivo used on craigslist and i dont know if the guy who sold it to me had the same problem with code. i called tivo ,and they wanted me to have him call them and give permission to give me the code and he will not respond to my emails so if you know the way to clear the code or could possibly call tivo and ask them as registered tivo customer that would be great ,because as of now i am out 350.00. thanks to any one out there.

TiVo Customer Support can give you an override Parental Control Password that's good for one day only. I suspect it's some combination of the TiVo Service Number and the date.
