Series2 : No picture, no matter what

One of my Lifetime S2s is acting strangely. No picture, no matter how I connect it. I have set it up With and Without Cable box, run the Guided Setup each time, and it consistently shows "Error" for source in the system info.
Just in case I substituted another S2 (and even an S1) in the same setup; same connections, same wires; and it works perfectly.
I've also attempted to setup this S2 in another location and encountered the same problem. I've replaced the HD as well and the problem remains.
Ideas ???

Have you tried both the S-VIDEO and composite video cables? If neither are working, then something is blown in the video hardware of your unit. You might want to consider repairing the unit at CCS Corporation (http://www.ccscorporation.net), they do good work.

Yes, I have tried s-video, composite and coax (with the cable box) - no joy with any of them.
I've emailed CCS for their thoughts ...
