Transferring lifetime sub?

Hi,

My Tivo *may* be dying (see my other thread) and if it is I will have to look at replacing it.

Can a lifetime sub still be transferred to a 'new' unsubbed box?

I belive not, as I undestood it, it was for the lifetime of 'the' box.

Others have done this successfully though. if the old one is Broken I would phone them and say it has been replaced due to a motherboard fault

TiVo CS are generally remarkably helpful in this regard if you ask nicely :)
