I have a Series 1 TiVo with a 250 gig hard drive that I used InstantCake to prep. Its been working pretty good, I've made some minor modifications but nothing I thought was major. In the last few weeks, sometimes I would come home to find it completely non-responsive (but still playing video) and I would hard boot it. In the last couple days it has been behaving like the hard drive is failing (choppiness, freezing, out of sync audio) so I pulled it out and ran it through an in-depth surface scan with the sweetest software ever, HDDRegenerator and after 10 hours it returned no bad sectors at all. What else can cause these errors?
