huh? it sounded like the blonde was saying she liked what he was and wanted him but then she basically left him forever?

what did i misinterpret?

I think she realized that he really wasn't the same man anymore. And, felt that she needed to go on without trying to get him back.

ok so i'm rightfully confused. :) He finally wants kids, is thoughtful, etc etc, all she wanted in him..but because that's not him, but what he has become (from hanging around melinda), she doesn't want him

Hmm, I thought she figured out that Sam/Jim had feelings for Melinda (and none really for her that weren't based on what she was bringing to the situation right there and then) and that she was in the way of his "new" life. Hence the half-apology at the end. But maybe I'm wrong too.

Was this the episode that Jennifer Love Hewitt directed?

We've watched this show from the start, but this whole Jim thing is dragging on WAY too long and is just too creepy and making Melinda look like an idiot more an more...let's send Jim and Sam into some big light and get on with the show.
