Qn for Xprts: Does TiVo reserve 10% of Esata drive?

Hi - i've asked this on the HDTiVo forum but no one knows for sure. I understand that (without supersizing) TiVo takes 10% of the internal drive for their own use. if I simply attach the approved "my dvr" WD eSata drive. Does TiVo reserve 10% of that as well? (since I'm told it stripes programs across both drives, I suspect it takes 10% of total storage?)
