I'm curious if anyone out there is still watching this show? :)
I've been watching every week and I have to say last night's episode was definitely worth the wait in terms of the buildup that it's been coming to.
It seems like the past two episodes quickly FFW'ed the story and we've now had Crusoe and his unknown "nemesis" Blackthorn meet up in real time and have finally learned the reason for his treachery!
It ended with a huge cliffhanger and all I can say is I look forward to how it plays out next week.
What can I say? I'd definitely call it a one of those "best shows nobody's watching" candidate. The cast is excellent and the show just...looks...fantastic. I had a friend over and he had never seen it before. He immediately said how terrific it looks (especially in high def).
The scene that Crusoe has to say goodbye to his dog really had me all choked up too!
Anyone?? ;)

I'm still watching, but I don't know that I'd say it's one of the best shows nobody's watching. It's fluff for me. Entertaining but not especially moving or well executed. Crusoe and Friday are likable enough and are just enough multi-dimensional that I'm not completely bored. Having Mia Maestro certainly doesn't hurt either. I think the next episode is the last, fwiw. As it should be, IMO. It was conceived of as a short-run series, and we've gotten to the end of the original concept. It was worth the watch, but I don't think I'll miss it.
I'm glad I chose to watch it over Knight Rider.

Still watching. Loved the "a ha!" moment when we finally find out Blackthorn's motive.
It's not going to go down in history as a classic show, but they've kept it interesting and it's beautiful in HD.

Can you spoiler tag the motive? I got tired of waiting and stopped watching since it was moving too slowly. Does look great but the eye candy is the wrong gender for me to watch if the program is going away ( as this certainly will).

this is one of these shows that I recorded and kept on the DVR until all the other shows went off...so now I'm caught up...it's made it up to my rotation...I like it...
I did not know that there was one episode left :(
here's the reason why Blackthorn wants him dead
Crusoe is the son of Blackthorn's father, so he is the true heir to Blackthorn's fortune

more detail on motive
Blackthorn (I'll call him B from now on) is the second son...so the first son inherited the father's fortune. First son dies, so B gets the fortune.
BUT, B's brother went into a contract with Robinson's mom to father a child for him (I forget the reason)...birth certificates prove this...those certificates are in Robinson's "other father"'s bible; which Robinson left back on the island before making the big trip to the other side to get to the ship.
This is the proof that Robinson is the rightful heir to the fortune.
Oh, and to make matters worse, B had gone off to make his fortune (before his father died), because he was in love with Suzanne (implied, but not said outright)...so when B came back to discover that he is rich, he also found the girl he loved married to Robinson...

I thought that it was Blackthorne's brother who fathered Robinson.
It's a good show but not great.
It's not deep but it's fun and the friendship between Friday and Crusoe seems genuine.

Thats what I got too. Because B's brother died, the inheritance when to B. But since B's brother had a son (Crusoe), then the inheritance should go to him.

to be fair, he didn't need to...the thread has the title and date of the ep so anything that has happened need not be in spoilers...I did it that way only because the person who asked for it wanted it in spoiler text...

Understood.

Exactly. And out of courtesy, everyone else followed suit. Well, almost everyone.

What was in the document that Olivia burned in front of Suzanna (sp?)? She said it was just her address, but she seemed to not be telling the truth. Did Crusoe give her something to give to his wife? I just don't remember.

I seem to recall that Crusoe gave her a package (letters plus who knows what else)...which seems strange that she would help her but NOT give her the package...

Yes, that's what got me. She helped Suzanna greatly by getting her out of the nut house and hooking her up with the priest, but the look she had seemed to be that she was still in love with Robinson herself and somehow hoped she could still get him for herself. So she burned the papers.

well, that goes without saying that she's in love with him...but once she decided that Suzanna still loved him and that she was going to help her, it makes n sense to then burn it...
you're either going to help (and therefore give it to her) or you're going to try to get him for yourself (and therefore not help)...the burning made no sense at all...

Been watching it in 'clumps', usually two at a time while walking on the treadmill. I now have the last 2 episodes recorded to do that with at some point.

I watched the first couple of shows and I've got five or so shows saved. I'm missing the rest and am hoping I can pick them up on UHD or somewhere. It'll make a great show to watch this summer.
It's a good show to watch with your kids.

Wife doesn't like it. I've been transferring the episodes to IPOD and watching them at lunch without her.
Like tgewin said, it's fluff but entertaining enough to continue watching.

man...one of the attractions of the show is the scenery in HD...watching it on an iPod seems like such a waste!
