Anyone else watching this?

Wow. Lindland got rocked. Scary moment.

Darn. My box crashed about 2 minutes in and I missed the end of the Fedor fight. No surprise though. It ended like most of Arlovski's fights. He comes out boxing and looking great, but gets tagged hard once and crumples.

I guess it's Barnett vs Fedor next. Too bad he'll never match up against Lesnar.

I caught parts of it and watched the whole main event.

Lindland was scary after the fight. He was so out of it.

Very scary. That was the worst I have ever seen.

The whole card was good. Fedor's legend grows. The Fedor vs. Barnett fight will be a battle.

Arlovski was winning! Then got touched by the Hand of God and went down. Look forward to Barnett vs Fedor. If Barnett can get top control, his catch wrestling could get him decision.

Arlovski was dominating the entire round when Fedor dropped him with that one punch. Dropped by the only shot by your opponent that lands.

I'd like to see a rematch.

Loved how the announcers were questioning whether Fedor was winning the round or not.

I'd love to see a rematch as well. Arlovski was doing great until he decided to get showy with the flying knee. I don't blame him, really. He was going great and wanted to put on a show for the crowd. Unfortunately for him it cost him the bout.

And I know people like to crap on Arlovski by saying he has a glass chin, but I really don't think it is fair in this case. He was propelling himself as hard as he could into a flying knee just as Fedor is bouncing off the ropes with all that momentum into a huge right. It landed perfectly, right on that end of his chin. I don't care who you are, that punch was putting the receiver out.

Anyone that has seen a lot of Fedor's fights knows how much power he gets out of his unorthodox striking. If people have only seen his Affliction fights they should really try to find some of his fights from Pride. His ground and pound is unbelievable. NO ONE generates the kind of punching power from the guard that Fedor produces. It's astounding to watch.

I'll also say that Fedor looked terrible, despite what he might say in public. His trainer spilled the beans and is saying Fedor got by this fight based solely on his past fights. Rather than doing a proper training camp he filmed a movie and trained on the side. Word is that his camp was 30 days or less.

I hope this was a wakeup call and he doesn't become complacent again. His instincts won this fight for him. He might not be so lucky next time.

Tito Ortiz must be the worst color commentator and interviewer ever. They should have got Frank Trigg or anyone else.

It wasn't just the commentary, although some of the silence was deafening. They also waited forever to show the replays of Fedor's punch, and Belfort's punch. Shoddy broadcasting. I don't know much about Affliction (this was the first one I watched), but even though I hate the ring for MMA, they had good fighters, good refs (Big John!), but lousy production. There's a reason why UFC is king.

I was wondering if they were delaying the Belfort punch because of Lindland. I think they were waiting for him to come around and be OK before showing it.

I didn't realize they took a long time to show the Fedor punch because I rewound it myself too many times!

Yeah, I kept wondering why all the fighters were getting booed in their post-fight interviews. It took me forever to realize they were booing Tito, not the fighters. I don't think a lot of the fighters realized it at the time though.

Oh, and I will say that not showing the Jay Hieron fight was UNFORGIVABLE!

There was PLENTY of time after the main event to show it.

Unforgivable.

.

I think there have been scary knockouts similar to Lindland in the UFC but they have the sense to not focus on the downed fighter until after he revives. It was in poor taste for Affliction to spend all the post-fight time showing Lindland struggling back to conciousness (not to mention not showing the replay for what seemed like forever). It doesn't help the overall legitimacy of the sport either. Opponents of MMA will jump on that one as an example of how dangerous the sport is.
