This is a Series 3 HD dual tuner with 2 cable cards.
It has been acting up lately with HD going wonky and sometimes no video.
TIVO software Ver 11.0-01-2-648
Do I need to replace the Hard Drive?
I have read about the signal being to strong, how do I check that?

If I replace the Hard drive, What next?
Do I Kickstart 52, 56 ?
Or can I just get a E-SATA and connect it to the rear and Kickstart 62 ?

Sizzler69 don't listen to amberlynn0717. Verify that the drive is failing smart with a computer and if so you might consider starting with a fresh image on the new drive. At a minimum run your favorite surface scanning tool against it.

If you end up replacing the hard drive, you can buy a copy of InstantCake that will put a fresh image onto the new drive. You will use your computer to do this with a bootable cd. Then you just hook it up to your TiVo and it will be ready.

Is that image from the TiVo? If so, how'd you get it to run those tests?

Yes
I was running kickstart tests, I don't remember which one.
The unit has been having problems consistent with hard drive failure and the drive failed a SMART test. A poster provided the link the WD website, that code means replace drive.
The OP can buy a drive ready to drop in from a vendor like DVRUpgrade. Alternately the OP can save a few dollars and buy a bare drive. I'd try to get the tivo software from his existing drive. That should save his cable card settings and SP information. If the drive is to far gone for that spend the $20 on instant cake.
