telnet freezing Tivo

Hey Guys, I am having issues with telnet freezing the Tivo. I usually have
the deamon running on port 23. Here is the line from my rc.sysinit.
tnlited 23 /bin/bash -login &

Anyway, If I exit the deamon and then reconnect it will freeze the system.
Also if I try 2 connections to the same port it freezes. Logs show the
connection closed after I exit. I am using CTR on the pc side.

I had a hard drive crash a few weeks ago and put a new drive in and restored
from an old backup on cd. The only thing Im not sure of is the old drive
was 80gig and the new one is 120gig. I did not modify the swap size and
was wondering if that would cause the lockups.

I did a hex compare of tnlited with a backup stored on my pc and they
match so I don't think it is corrupted.

Any ideas on what to look for next. Something in the hd restore has
broken the telnet.

Have you tried any other terminal programs? I'd try using the Windows command prompt telnet, Hyperterminal or Putty before doing anything else.

Its not the terminal program freezing its the tivo os. The problem is with tnlited
on the tivo side. I have to power cycle the tivo after it freezes. It will not allow more then 1 connection at a time or a second connect after logout. I used to be able to have more then 1 connection simultaneously on the same port.

Problem solved! For anyone that may run into this I pulled a version
1.3 drive out of an old S1 tivo and mounted the last active filesystem
and pulled a copy of tnlited. It works fine on my 3.0 machine. Here is
the 2 different md5 checksums. The first checksums where run on the tivo
itself and the second set was a pc md5summer.
