Feel free to spoilerize, but my TIvo missed the 10-15 min between when the scientist walked past Dr. Candle and when Locke saw the plane.

Can someone fill me in on what happened in there?? Quickly???

mine lost it too, i think because the recap show went 2 minutes over it borked my recording, i caught it from when kate answers the door

There was something happening where Dharma was drilling for the Orchid Station. When we get the explanation for the problem, we see that one of the workers was Daniel Faraday.

That's pretty much it.

and it seems he doesn't age over time much either. unless he's been jumping all over time. if the dharma initiative was doing their thing in the 70s and 80s and they were just building the orchid station, that would mean Faraday is much older than he appears.

and it seems [Faraday] doesn't age over time much either. unless he's been jumping all over time.It's clearly established that he is jumping all over time, along with the rest of his group and the Oceanic survivors (but not, apparently, The Others), ever since the island disappeared. I see no reason to suppose he's ageless too. Richard seems to be, but that's another issue.
