View Full Version : Anyone still watching Worst Week?

It's been getting better and better each week, I think, and they've done a nice job transitioning the show from that "it's just a week-long stay with the parents" concept. The characters are still put in really awkward situations, but they're no longer the outlandish stuff that turned so many people off in the beginning. Really like that.
So, anyone still watching and enjoying?

It records upstairs but I don't bother watching.

Still watching, but not one of my favorites.
I keep watching it, but I don't know why. I'm enjoying it to enough of a degree not to feel any pressure to get rid of the Season Pass, but I can't help but consider this to be otherwise unworthy when I have better programs available to watch. And yet, sometime by Tuesday night, I end up watching it.
yeah, trying to fit in 20 pratfalls into an episode turned me off when the show started. Definitely better, but still average viewing material.

I am 2 or 3 behind. I just watched the christmas one the other day and parts of it had me laughing out loud pretty hard.
I am a fan of the sitcom and the sitcom landscape is pretty barren, so I watch most sitcoms... I watch the handful of new ones with the exception of Kath and Kim.

no laugh track means a show has a much higher chance with me..i dont need someone to tell me when to laugh and if a show is that bad they need forced laughter, it shouldnt be on
Seeing Red in 24 was a nice change too

I had a season pass back in the fall, I watched the first 2 and deleted the SP.
Because of people here talking about it during the holidays I started watching it again via VOD.
I really enjoy Kurtwood Smith's work, and he's just perfect in the role of the dad, in fact he was really the only reason I set the SP to begin with.

I'm really enjoying this show. Really, it's just silly entertainment, I don't know what other people were expecting.

Usually I expect my comedies to be funny. But I'm weird like that. :)

Any Kurtwood Smith fan should take a look at the short film 12:01pm. I saw it nearly 20 years ago when HBO and Showtime would show short films inbetween their features. Think Bill Murrey's "Groundhog Day" (which this pre-dated) only instead of being the same day repeated, it's the same hour. But it's serious and worthy of being a good Twilight Zone episode.
Lots of luck finding it. Maybe it's available online somewhere.

That name sounded familiar, so I checked it out on imdb. It was remade into a TV movie "12:01" (1993), but without Kurtwood Smith at least as far as I see in a quick search.
The remake is on DVD for $6.99 from Amazon. (I am fairly sure I recorded it on videotape way back when, and it may have not degraded.. though I don't really have a working VCR anymore!)

There is a movie on Sci-fi on 2/2 called 12:01. Could this be what you are talking about?

I guess I should clarify "short film". It's only about half an hour.

I'm still watching, but I like low brow humor. If you like the 3 Stooges, you'd probably like this.

I noticed in one of the recent episodes that the Clarence Bodicker came home in a suit with a brief case. So is he retired or not?

I noticed CBS aired a previously un-aired episode this past Saturday night. Thank goodness I still had my SP.

Yeah, that was weird. Why wasn't it aired? It felt like it should have been from right in the middle of the run. Very out of place. And kind of a flat episode. I didn't laugh much.

I was one of the few that liked this show, so I was really surprised to see this pop up in my ToDo List. Definitely mid run, actually seemed very early in the run as they hadn't told her parents yet about the baby. The problem with this episode is they really telegraphed everything that was gonna happen.

It was before the baby but after the painting was repaired.

Finally watched the last 4 eps. Good show, but it's no Big Bang Theory. Not even close.
And what was up with CBS showing that last ep? When I saw that Mel was still with child, I knew right away it was not the true finale. I'm thinking this was an ep that got bumped for a President Barack news conference back in February.

I finally caught up on my Worst Week episodes (6 episodes over 2 days).
I honestly don't remember which ones it was, but in at least 1, I think 2 of them, there was someone BESIDES Sam being a complete doofus/klutz. I thought that was a good change of pace.. Then the rest of the ones I caught up on, it was back to him doing the screwing up.
I am still interested in checking out the British version on DVD.
