Two TIVO's in One Room

I am getting TWC and have just purchased a TIVO HD. I am going to keep my series two unit and I was wondering if there was anyway to run them in the same room. I have already noticed that the TIVO remote turns on both units which could be a real pain. My original plan was to put the series 2 unit in the bedroom and hook it into my wireless network and just transfer the programs from the bedroom unit to the one in the front room. One other question. Will I be able to split the TWC so I can run it into both units. I realize that I will not be able to get the premium content because I will only have cable cards in the HD unit and was just curious if I still would be able to receive the normal digital channels on the series 2 unit. What do you mean by "Remote Turns on both units".. Both my TiVoHD and Series 2 are always on (there is no off unless unplugged).

TIVO main screen comes on in both units when I hit the power button. I followed the directions to set up the remote to control each unit seperately and that seems to have solved the problem.
