Spare DTivos laying around?

I put my last spare DTivo into service last weekend. Funny, the newest one was the first to die. Anyway, if anyone has any spares that are still working, have a clean balance history, and you are just going to throw them away, I'd be happy to pay for shipping. Just a thought.

You should have no problem finding older S1 or S2 DTivos on ebay for next to nothing. Since the S1's were discontinued long before DirecTV began the leasing process it's a pretty safe bet that they're all previously owned uniits and have never been leased.

I've tried that already but it seems that nowadays, having a balance on an existing unit is a big problem and getting someone to divulge their TSN and RID Nos. is like pulling teeth.
