Daily call set to network, but still dialing phone

Since switching routers I've not been able to regularly obtain guide data. My old router had a default gateway of 192.168.1.1 and my Tivo's IP address is 192.168.1.202.

I now have a different router, but the router address/gateway is now 192.168.1.254. I've changed the Tivo to this new gateway address. But it still seems to be dialling over the modem and not using the network card. I can successfully ping external addresses like dell.com (using the real IP address) so I know the Tivo can see the outside world.

I've attached my tclient log.

Can anyone help?

For some reason it seems like my Tivo won't keep the Gateway address 192.168.1.254.

The "daily call" option keeps reverting to DialUp and toggling between DialUp and Network seems to change the gateway address.

Is there another location to set the gateway?

nic_config_tivo does have a bug where it will not set your default gateway correctly if you set it to dialup.
(it will default to 192.168.1.1)

It should be adding the line:

/sbin/route.tivo add default gw 192.168.1.254 netmask 0.0.0.0

into the file

/etc/rc.d/rc.net

So to fix it you can either run that above line from telnet,
add it to rc.sysinit.author... or better put it where it should be, in /etc/rc.d/rc.net
