From the "New Users Start Here" thread:

Can I use TiVo abroad?
You should be able to use TiVo abroad in any countries with a PAL TV system and a 220V-240V 50Hz electricity supply. There are quite a few overseas users active on this forum. TiVo's guide data is only for the UK, most people have Sky Digital - see here for information on how to get Sky Digital overseas. You'll need to set TiVo's dial prefix to either (a) the international dialling code to dial the uk, or (b) the number of a local UUNET POP number followed by two commas (preferred as this is a local call instead of international!). You'll also probably need a UK address to register for TiVo's subscription. For further details or to ask questions see this thread.

You might find the number via this thread (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=302748):

Or switch to using a Cachecard and then download via the internet.

The cheapest way is to buy a network card (aka "cachecard") and that will allow you to plug into your internet router. Compared to paying for calls, it will pay for itself pretty quickly.

The next cheapest (you're just paying for a local call) is to find your nearest UUNET number. If you've got a local call flatrate (like I have here in Germany) then this ends up being free also. Here's where you can find a UUNET number http://www.verizonbusiness.com/about/network/remoteaccesspoints/pops/

The final and most expensive option is to dial the UK number. I haven't used it for 5 years, but when I did, it was this (note the two commas at the end, which I can't remember how you enter, but someone here will know): 00448450885336,,

Comma's are entered with the pause button :)

I suggest the OP to get a turbonet or cachecard.
