I think I've still got mine somewhere (no longer used) - I'll dig it out.

One here too if anyone needs one. I was holding onto it in case I ever needed it again, but I think it might be time to let it go ;)

Sorry to say that I couldn't find mine for firekill - so Carl's may be wanted.

Hmmm. I'd better go dig it out then; just in case. Now where did I put it?... :)

What VM boxes still need it?

The old Pace ones I assume. Actually, if I were the OP I would insist they provide one of the newer Samsung boxes which a. don't need the adapter and b. are much better boxes anyway ;)

My old VM box was a Pace and now on V+ its a SA - neither needed the adaptor.

I think the 4000 might not have needed it but the others (the 1000 and 2000) did as they used the older IrDA.

2 of the 3 Tivo's I have setup use Pace 4000 boxes and whilst they will work without the cable dongle I have found them to be much more reliable with it.

Officially no, but try being really nice to the person you speak to and see what happens :) Seriously, I don't think anyone's had a problem doing so even though it's not technically supposed to happen.
