About to get Fios with my Tivo, but got a ?

I bought a Tivo with Lifetime off ebay. The guy is totally reputable, so I know the Lifetime will work. My question is this. Fios will be installed later this month. Do I activate the Lifetime now on the Tivo or do I have to wait until Fios is installed?

Your lifetime should already be installed on the TiVo you purchased. Check with your ebay seller. I would recommend to activate the TiVo first that way you can get the most recent software updates.

I hope you got a TivoHD. A TiVo Series2 doesn't directly support the digital channels on FiOS.

The Series 2 boxes all work fine with the SD STB and even have serial support enabled (at least they did for me).

It seems to me that would be a pretty important feature to have if you are going to spend hundreds on a lifetime subscription.
