Is there a way to eliminate the live video background on the TiVo programming grid? It tends to make the lettering hard to read. IMHO, it would be more legible if the grid had a solid black background.

Being able to see the TV channel behind the guide was just added as a feature. ;)

This is more of a workaround, but you can pause a pre-recorded show or live TV before viewing the guide. If you have black at the beginning of a recording and pause it there, that can be used to achieve the effect.

You might want to change from "TiVo Live Guide" to the "Grid Guide" style (press Enter while you're in the guide for the menu). That's a more "TV Guide" like menu that has solid backgrounds.
