DirecTV Tivo with Lifetime... worth anything? Transferable?

I've got an OLD DirecTV SAT-T60 unit that has a lifetime subscription on it. Can that lifetime subscription be used for anything? Transferred for a fee?

I couldn't find any comps on ebay... they are all sans lifetime and the box is, of course, worth next to nothing. The remote is worth more than the box.

And the only threads I found about transferring a lifetime sub from a DirecTV box were from 2006.

Anyway, can I do anything with it? Anyone here want it?

DirecTV transferred the lifetime to your account many years ago. The box itself does not have lifetime, your account does.

And no, it can't be transferred to another account. They no longer have that option in their system so even if they delete it by accident (As they did MINE!) they cannot put it back in.

Interesting. So I would need to stop being a subscriber of DirecTV in order to make that transfer? And what is it saving me on my account now? $5 per month?

The last I had heard it was 5.99 and of course Directv could always increase that fee in the future.
