Series2 540 Single Tuner Tivo (700 hours) making horrible noise and won't boot up. Was only using it for storage for over 600 hours of programs. I think its the hard drive dying and doubt that they can save my shows. This would be the only reason I would consider fixing it. Got it in 2005. Would you just move on to a Series 3 or attempt the fix? Keep in mind its just for storage although if one of my other Tivos died then I would use it to record. Need to decide if I want to ship it to DVRUpgrade. Thanks.
