Hello,

Searches haven't helped, so here goes.

Has anyone with a Series2 successfully implemented it with the new U-verse non-dvr STB. I know from other forums that a couple of people have tried, but were having trouble getting the IR blaster to change the channels. Everything else seemed to work ok.

We have a Series2 and thinking of trying U-verse.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Answering my own previous post.

No problems with S2 and U-verse STB.

I have U-verse and it works well with my Series 2.

But I do have a lineup problem.

If I choose, through Guided Set-up, to say that the STB is an Analog cable box, then the lineup is only my local channels. Actually 5-99.

If I choose, through Guided Set-up, to say that the STB is a Digital cable box, then the lineup is everything but my local channels. Channels 100 and above.

The two lineups need to be combined.

My zip is 79423.

hello,

Thanks for the info.

How are you getting around this problem? Are you able to use your Tivo?

I think when I set up my S2 with the ATT box I told it that I have a Motorola set-top box (it's actually branded Cisco).
Using the info from here:

http://www.tivo.com/setupandsupport/technicalsupport/issueswithmydvr/Advanced_Troubleshooting_for_Channel_Changing_with_IR_Contro l.html#ings

I put in one of the codes I found here on Tivocommunity, and it worked. Of course, now I can't remeber which one. I think I used 10081-B .

I'm using my S2 with one of the non-DVR Att boxes in the bedroom. I can use my Tivo but only for either locals or 'cable' channels, not both.

I may hook up one of the OTA Digital to Analog boxes to use for locals and use the ATT box for 'cable' channel.

I looked on Zap2it.com and under lineups saw 2 line ups for ATT uverse. One for Analog cable and one for Digital cable. That's when I repeated Guided Setup and selected an analog box as my choice.

I need to call Tivo to report this. I had reported using their online lineup issue for before but just thought my locals weren't listed.

I just wonder if folks in other places have this same lineup issue with Uverse.

I also have Tivo record for 5 minutes every 6 hours to keep the ATT box awake. Otherwise it records a blue screen that says "press ok to watch". There is no option with the Cisco box to force it to stay on.

Edit: 01/26/09

I called Tivo after posting this and talked to a real nice guy who understood the problem. He got the ball rolling and in about a week and a half, I had the new combined CORRECT lineup I needed. I am happy now!

Thanks, a solution. I hate these cable boxes I now can't watch tv and record anything at the same time. And I have to record minutes every 6 hours. I wonder if Tivo could introduce a feature to just ping the box rather than recording.

On 1/29 I had Uverse instaleed and used my S2 TiVos with the standalone receivers. Goign through guided setup was easy, I selected cable box, Uverse, Motorola box and added all of my premium channels.

They probably recently resolved the issue everyone is speaking of. If not, call TiVo so they can fix your area. I'm in the Houston area and all works well (so far).
