Can I use my S2 to timeshift a FM broadcast?

I want to watch the network broadcast HD video(non-TIVO) of the game and listen to the local FM broadcast play-by-play and color. Because of the delays of the broadcast TV, the OTA FM announces the dropped pass, fumble, or touchdown before it happens on TV.

Nope. Would be nice, though. See my thread on this topic in Suggestions.

Edit: Actually, if you just want to use the TiVo to delay the audio, but still watch the game live (and NOT through the TiVo), you might be able to rig something up. It'd be awfully fiddly to get it right, though. You might even need two TiVos (one for the video, one for the audio) to ensure that you could sync up, since passing the signal through a TiVo causes its own delay (even without pausing it to increase that delay), which might exceed the one on the video feed, though not if you're lucky.

Can't use TiVo to do it but you could probably figure out a way to do it yourself.

My first thought for a DIY would be some type of computer software. Then you just feed the FM in via mic line and delay it and have it come out speaker, problem is setup as your computer may not be near a TV. There has to be some sort of hardware out there. Maybe wait and see if you get responses here if not tomorrow afternoon or so make a SOAK thread in Happy Hour asking about audio delay.

Maybe you could use your TiVo you could have the Audio go in as input with composite cables (just use the red and white) and record what is coming in. Then you have the sound output into your receiver to hear it. Problem is recording with the TiVo will cause some delays and maybe your video will be ahead of your audio then. Also you will have to setup your TiVo to record from the input vs say the coax. Also I am not sure what the TiVo will do without a video source.

Sure you could do it. Watch the game live on your TVs tuner and have a radio connected to the audio input on the Tivo using a 1/8 inch to two RCA cable. Have your audio receiver set to listen to the Tivo and pause the audio for a few seconds so it more closely matches the game.

Realize the audio will still play while the TV is on commercials.

If you don't already have your A/V inputs active on the Tivo the easiest way is to choose Cable+Satellite (if you have cable) and then in "Channels I receive" uncheck all of the satellite channels except one that is easy to remember and has no shows you would record (like a guide channel). I did this to record videos from gaming consoles.

Go to Griffin Technology and look for a product called Radio Shark:

I used to use total record (http://www.highcriteria.com/) combined with a scheduled task to kick off an Internet Radio broadcast at a certain time and record it to MP3. Worked well.
