Changing Channels issue with Series 3 (B verison)

I just bought another Original Tivo Series 3 HD (b model). I added lifetime to it and tested it. As of right now, I am using cable in, and component to the tv as this tv is not HD. I plan on getting another HD tv soon. I also do not have cable cards installed yet. I use Comcast Cable.

When i change channels I have a weird issue where their is a delay between changing, I get a grey screen, the tivo says "Searching for Signal: Cable In" then it finally changes channels. Probably takes a good 5-10 seconds to get the picture on the next channel. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Just do a channel scan to cache all of them, or you could tune to each one. On the initial tune it caches the channel so that subsequent tunes will be faster. A channel scan will accomplsih the same task
