I came from DIRECTv where my remote had a dedicated list button. My new series3 tivo does NOT have a list button. I find it kind of annoying not having a direct link to the now playing list, being that I have to go to the Tivo main screen, then clicking on now playing. It's something I can over come, but if there is a remote with a list button I'd rather have that.

Do you guys know of a remote I can buy with this button? I've also got gripes about the Tivo remote not "selecting" the input I want when I scroll through my TV inputs. I have to bust out the TV remote to switch to my PS3 or DVD player inputs.

Thanks,
Shawn

I guess you don't have your old DirecTiVo remote? IIRC, it works with the TivoHD.

I use a Harmony One (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=5917522#post5917522) universal remote and have the dedicated list (NPL) button programmed on the menu button.

If you've just come from a DirecTiVo with its outdated TiVo software, be sure to see my tips post (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=5929134#post5929134) for the TivoHD.

I do actually, I just have to find it. If I knew that worked, I'd be all over it! I just lose the aspect button, but I never used that with the TWC box anyways.

Thanks,
Shawn

If you hit the tivo button twice, you will be taken to the now playing list. A little quicker than selecting the now playing option on the main menu.

So the consensus is a Harmony or Directv remote? This tivo is a week old and also doesn't have the newest remote I've read about.

The Window button on the DirecTiVo remote functions as the Aspect button so you're not losing anything there.

The Tivo "GLO" remote is nicer than the stock TivoHD remote, but it still doesn't have a direct button for LIST / NPL. You've still got to hit the TiVo button twice to go to the NPL. As to why TiVo removed this button, the most commonly used button on the DirecTivo....many others have asked the same question.

If you need a universal remote, regardless, then take a look at a Harmony line. However, be aware that remote responsiveness with a Harmony isn't quite as good as the original Tivo/DirecTivo remote.

What kind of problems are you having when you scroll through the TV inputs?

I just use a OneForAll URC 6131 remote (http://www.amazon.com/One-All-6-Device-Universal-Control/dp/B0000ALPBA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1230520223&sr=8-1) - of course it requires you hit the "Tivo" (PVR) button twice to get to the Now Playing list, just like with the Tivo remote. But somehow that doesn't rank very high on my list of difficult life situations, call me weird...

My TV will switch between inputs, but it will not close the input screen that comes up on the side unless you press select. It's tough to describe without a photo, but basically the input screen does not go away after a set period of time. It will stay open indefinitely until you click select even though it's already displaying the new input. The select and enter button on the Tivo remote do NOT work as a select for this, either.
