I bought this unit: Philips TiVo DVR Series 1 198 Hr Lifetime Subscription

does anyone see a problem with this working with dish network ??

I checked the list of all TiVo models and could not find any listing of a 198.

However, if it is a SA TiVo (One designed to accept external inputs from cable boxes ect,) then it will work OK with most Dish reseivers. But, if it is a DirectTV with TiVo (Has inputs for SAT feeds and no other inputs) Then it will NOT work with anything except DirectTV.

Obviously someone installed a larger disk into this box, though I'm not sure what size would create a 198 hour capacity. It is probably a standalone box, though.
