Ooga booga!

I said it before, I'll say it again: John Sheridan is my President! I can't find the post in a presidential thread where I said that and got chided for not including spoiler tags. :P Archive 2 doesn't seem to be working, I'm afraid.

Question: would you guys be satisfied, had this been the second to last episode (Sleeping in Light, which is at the end of S5, being the final episode)? I don't think I would be, honestly.

This seems like a show-ending episode, so I could easily see it stopping here. They haven't addressed the issue of the snake-things that hide under people's collars, but then again they haven't really done much with that story line anyway, and seem to have dropped it after bringing it up only two or three times.

True, there were some things set up that needed more time to develop. S4 had it been the end would've tied up many but not all loose ends.

Guess we'll have to see what Season 5 brings.:D

Even with things like the keepers not wrapped up, B5 would have had a ton more closure than almost any other SF show out there. Even the ones that had an ending instead of getting cancelled!

Often in threads on this forum you guys are all talking about people in terms of other roles the actors played, and it makes me nuts because I don't know those roles or even if I do I don't think of the people that way. So, out of petty revenge, I'm going to have to say that Masha (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0638897/) has come a long way since being a maid to the Buchmans!

The "traitor to earth!" sign on Clark seemed a little hokey. Also hokey, Sheridan saying "Death: been there, done that." I guess he (and JMS) earned a little hokeyness by now.

Seeing our friendly nameless ISN reporter back in these episodes is really surprisingly touching.

Apparently the President can be two places at once, and listen to herself making a speech. Either that, or the person in the audience was her evil twin who was about to take her place. I guess we'll find out in Season 5. :D

It seems to me that the new Alliance should remain in neutral territory instead of being based out of Minbar. And G'Kar, what a perv! He and Londo seem to be getting along, however. They are more like squabbling siblings than mortal enemies now.

Would I have been satisfied? No. But that would have been because of wanting to see more, not because of missing anything. This episode + Sleeping would have been a good ending. I wish Crusade could have had as good of an ending.

I have no idea what you're talking about, unless you're referring to the fact that the senator in the previous episode who found Clark was the Evil Leaper in Quantum Leap.

While President Luchenko was making her speech, they cut to Sheridan. On the left (Sheridan's right) you can see Luchenko, who is sitting next to him, listening to herself make the speech. This was on the DVD, so she might have been far enough left to be cut out of the fullscreen version. I guess they only had enough budget to shoot one "sitting down" scene. :D

I'll have to go back and look again. The widescreen version is just the fullscreen version cropped, so it would be there.

It sounds more like a continuity error to me. What's interesting is it isn't addressed in the Lurker's Guide, where usually things like that are mentioned.

The widescreen is only cropped on VFX shots, I don't remember if this particular scene had VFX or not.

If it meant avoiding a certain long-haired telepath, I think it's almost a trade-off I'd have been willing to make...

I have to wonder if JMS would have offed Marcus if he had known that CC was going to bolt and that he had a Season 5.

And while that flyover was dramatic, wouldn't it have royally unnerved the population of Earth?

I'll have to check teh script books when I get home from my vacation, but I think that JMS does address that very question.

Sure, if it were there permanently. It looks like it got spraypainted over after the filming of the opening sequence, although I will say that as of yet we haven't seen that end of the station this season other than in the opening.

Nice.

From the "JMS Speaks" section of the lurker guide page:

"Marcus was a martyr waiting to happen, looking for something worth throwing his life away on because he could find little worth in his own."

Almost the whole point of Marcus was to come to that particular denouement.

My problem is that some of the people waited to respond to some of the threads, so suddenly they were popping up everywhere. I forgot where each one was in terms of positioning, even though the episode numbers were staring me in the face. I was referring to something that hasn't happened yet.

Namely, "Created by J. Michael Straczynski" being plastered onto the back of the station, which the camera flies in front of in the S5 intro.

Knowing that, now, don't my comments make more sense? :)

Ah, okay. I'll just assume that you came to your conclusion before you got to the part of the sentence that said "Earth" then. :p
