I was a bit disappointed earlier in the season, but this episode put it all back together for me. A shame it's been cancelled.

Especially liked the Norwegians Mobile Investigative Lab Facility (MILF) with the Mother license plate.

That and the surprise appearance of the piemaker's father at the end makes me want to see the whole full season.

I do like a comedy that doesn't telegraph every joke, and whack me ove the head with every punchline.

I laughed loudly at that and said to myself "oh no they didn't." They've been good with the double entendres this year.

I'm going to miss this show too.

As opposed to a partial full season? ;)

Yes, it will be quite a loss. Even if Fuller can restore Heroes to its full glory, it will be a net loss to human culture.

Do you think Olive is really from Norwegia, or did they just tell her that so she would work with them?

:D

Do they even have short people in Norwegia? :)

The wingnut programmers at our local ABC station have replaced Daisies (TWICE!) for an old Xmas themed Oak Ridge Boys fund raiser show...happened last night and two weeks ago ARGHHH!

Oak Ridge Boys? I thought those guys were dead. Maybe Ned touched them.

I think they should tell Olive the Big Secret.

I think they should tell Olive the Big Secret.
I thought they had finally figured that out.

But human beings tend to be smarter than TV show characters... ;)

I think they should tell Olive the Big Secret. If I were Ned and Chuck, I would be afraid that Olive would accidentally-on-purpose force them to touch... (She'd feel terrible about it, but I could see her doing it)

Maybe it would convince them not to STAND SO DAMN CLOSE ALL THE TIME!!!

They should have an episode with Special Guest Star Sting singing "Don't Stand So Close to Me". :)

Or somebody sing "Don't Stand By Me... Stand Over There, Will You?"

OMG! I know! Like when they were doing hand-holding by proxy with Emerson Cod, rubbing his hands...and looking into each others' eyes, they came so close to touching...

The whole 'men are dogs' and looking up the tree to find the kitty -- OMG.

Yeah, we had to pause after that because we were laughing so hard. Then we hit the jump-back button and got it again and had to pause again because we were laughing so hard.

There should be a special Emmy for writing clever metaphors, except other than Blackadder, what show would even have won it?

There are 3 episodes left. However, ABC has not announced when (or if) they will be aired.

We finally got around to watching this last night. The show has definitely picked back up to it's first season level. We decided we kind of liked that ending for the series, so I deleted the season pass. If they do show the other three episodes that's fine. But since we already know it ends in a cliff hanger, I decided to pick one I kind of liked.

But since we already know it ends in a cliff hanger (...)My understanding was that Bryan Fuller changed his mind and edited the final episode into something more...final.

From Ask Ausiello (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/12/ask-ausiello--1.html), 9 Dec 2008:
Question: Pushing Daisies was just wonderful last week. It left me smiling until I remembered there are very few episodes left. Cheer me up with some positive scoop. -- Myra
Ausiello: This should do the trick: We're getting closure, dammit! The series finale will no longer end on a cliffhanger, as I previously reported. Through the magic of post-production, Bryan Fuller and his team managed to tack on a completely new beginning and ending to the episode. "We're doing a lot of work in post to shape it so that it is satisfying for the audience," Fuller tells me. BTW, rumor has it ABC may burn off air Daisies' final three episodes on one night in early January.

Thanks for the info. Too bad you can't undo deleting a season pass. I went ahead and setup a wishlist to get the last episodes whenever they do air.

And thanks to Bryan Fuller and the folks at ABC for trying to do right by their viewers. That's rare and unusual in the industry (see recent pissing contest between Viacom and TWC for example of how it usually goes).

I can't believe no one commented on Olive's line... "You've got me? Who's got you?!?"

I was starting to lose my interest in this show...but this ep was excellent and now I'm sorry again that it's going away...

I love the itty bitty nickname...

According to TV Guide Online, ABC is contractually obligated to air the final three episodes of Pushing Daisies. They probably will get burned off in a single night (Friday or Saturday). So keep an eye out!

Eye? What eye? Isn't that what a Season Pass is for?

Doesn't mean they can't screw up the guide data, or schedule it in an unusual slot that thus conflicts with other priorities on your DVR.
