I'm having a problem with Galleon not saving programs. I get the status note "save error". I've rebooted the Tivo as well as the computer (Mac Mini)multiple times. There is usually a partial download before the error, which I've deleted to start the process again. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Anthony

I've had a variety of TiVo https: interface hangs in the past few weeks, seems worse since the 11.x software.
If galleon is unable to transfer, try https://<your-tivo-ip>/ and see if you can get anything at all. Usually when I get save errors I can't talk https to the TiVo and it needs a reboot.

Anything in the log files?
You could try deleting Galleon's database. Shut it down, remove everything under the "data" subdirectory and start up the service again. It will re-create the database and the data in it.
I've found clearing this out now and then will resolve strange issues like this.

I'm able to access via https, as well as with itivo, so this time it seems to be a Galleon issue.
I finally figured out where the log is, and I'm seeing this on multiple days:
Dec 17 07:32:47 Mini mdimportserver[12164]: -[ABAddressBook sharedAddressBook] Can't ABACQUIRE_FILE_LOCK Framework/AddressBook/ABAddressBook.m:2746
That doesn't mean anything to me.
I still haven't figured out where the database is, but as I was looking I came across another thread where you recommended that and the other party said that the restored database lost all program descriptions and started re-downloading all of the rules matches. Problem two would just be annoying, but one would be a huge issue. This thread was a year old - do you know if that is still the case with the current version?
Thanks,
Anthony

It could be ... I don't use the rules stuff so I don't have the "re-downloading" problem when I blow away the database.
A quick Google search shows that MDimportserver is something related to Spotlight on the Mac. Not sure how that is related to your ToGo problem though.

Just to update, in case anyone else is having a similar problem: Definitely dumb user error! If the drive you're backing up to is full it really can't copy anything!
