Hi. I rent movies through Amazon's VoD feature within TiVo. However, it seems that I'm only able to purchase the movie Hancock. Am I missing something? I know that Sony had some crazy deal with Bravia before it was released on DVD, but I thought that once the movie was released on DVD it would be available for rent.
What's up?
Thanks.

I've seen lots of movies like that - HellBoy II was another. I have no idea why. It seemed pretty stupid to me too.

Wait a couple of weeks - probably it will show up for rent. It's not uncommon for an Amazon movie only to be available for sale for awhile.
I think it's a revenue thing. It ends up being a drive-you-to-Redbox thing.

It is a revenue thing, but not necessarily an Amazon or Netflix thing. The studio that owns the rights to the movie likely restricted it to sales only for certain outlets.
