OK, so I moved today. Now, my TiVo in the living room is set up perfectly on my Linksys wireless network. The TiVo in my bedroom gives me this error: A DHCP server could not be located on the network. (N02).

The situation in my new apartment is exactly the same as the old. My Linksys wireless cable gateway (WCG200) is in my living room and my bedroom TiVo is right on the other side of the same wall. The doorway to the bedroom is about a foot from the gateway.

Why would I get the error on one TiVo and not the other? How do I fix this?

Thanks!

Try setting a manual IP address on the failed box. You need to set IP, subnet, and gateway addresses. If that works, then try to switch back to DHCP client mode.

This trick worked for me a couple years ago. Can't remember why.

Not sure what to put for those things. Would I find them if I logged into my router?

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.1.1 (router) 2nd DNS: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 192.168.1.1 (router)
Static IP: 192.168.1.XXX

OK, I tried this. Now I'm getting an N07 error. It can't find the router.

If it means anything, I can't get to the WCG200 through my web browser. According to the Linksys site, it should be at 192.168.0.1 but it says page can't be displayed.

This may or not be related. I can't get my wireless printer to see the network either. It's a Dell AIO 966.

All of this (2 TiVo's, laptop and wireless printer) were working a few months ago in my old apartment with this cable gateway. I switched to DSL a few months ago and was using that but now in this new apartment, I'm back to my cable gateway.

I know I'm missing something obvious.

You should be able to reset your router to its default settings by cycling power and pressing a reset button on the bottom or back. The Linksys site should have instructions, or you can check the manual if you still have it.

I suggest connecting a PC to the router using a cable to set it up.
