Tivo no longer taping 2 shows at once!?

So, I looked through the boards but couldn't find an answer to my issue. My Tivo has pretty much stopped taping 2 shows at once. For example, if I have Heroes and Prison Break slated to tape and both are set to the DT (comcast digital channels), then only one tapes, instead of the Tivo taping just the analog version of that channel. Is anyone else having this issue!? I know mine used to pick through the various upcoming programs regardless of channel (HBO 1 through 10,000, for example), but now it looks like it's being moody and I have to go in and select which specific channel I need to tape from. If so, this is complete BS and a complete waste of time. This started about 6-8 weeks ago.

Nothing has changed in this regard. All Season Passes are channel specific. You pick the channel that you want TiVo to record from and it does it. Manual Recordings are channel specific. When you select a recording from the guide it is channel specific. The only time there are options for the channels are on wishlists and suggestions.

I had the same problem...maybe your cable provider has gone all digital even before Feb so now the dual tuner is functioning as a single tuner this is what i just learned this evening after going through all frustrations with the tech support:(

Nothing will happen to cable. Feb 17, 2009 is cutoff date for analog Over the air broadcast where stations will only broadcast in digital.

What model Tivo do you have? Is it the Tivo HD or XL? If it is, Do you have cable cards? Single or Multi stream cable cards?

If you only have 1 single stream cable card installed, that is like having a single tuner. On the HD/XL, 2 single stream or 1 multi stream cable cards let you record 2 at once. If you have antenna attached to the antenna coax, you can mix and match cable and OTA recordings.

i noticed a few weeks ago that my tivo was not recording my season pass shows from fox channel 8 - then noticed that channel 8 was no longer in my guide... or even offered by my cable company, i got no notice of this change from charter. all i needed to do was switch the season pass to channel 13 (also fox) but since the season pass was tied to a specific channel selection it could no longer record what was no longer there... perhaps that may be an issue for you also, channel line-up changes???
