Just wanted to let everyone know to check your SP for Heroes. The 12/15 episode was not scheduled to record on my DTivo so I had to redo the SP.

I've been getting that too. One show wouldn't record (had to redo the SP) but the show following it on the same channel was working fine.

I had to go through EVERY season pass and verify it was recording new episodes.

Luckily I caught that Heroes lapse over the weekend.

Had the same problem with last week's and this week's Prison Break.
Terminator was set to record both weeks, but the Tivo was skipping Prison Break right after.

The DirecTivos are getting to the point, where the best part of the software, the ability to never worry about missing an episode, is almost making you double check every show you have a season pass for. (In our case, anywhere from 30-40 depending on the season)

So far, I haven't had any known problems with that, but I'll have to check my SPs when I get home.

I can get HD OTA and have built a HTPC... I'm really considering ditching DirecTV at this point. Because I can:
1) Get a much better picture OTA (HD vs incredibly overcompressed NTSC)
2) Save my monthly DirecTV bill (~$100) and go free
3) If I have to worry about shows not recording might as well run MCE

I've been a TiVo user since about 2000 but it might be time to move on. The value to me was that it was a fire and forget solution. It's not that any longer and much more programming is available in HD - for free.

edit: Yes, I did have the problem with Heroes and other shows not recording last night!
