I was receiving the following error when trying to install Tivo Desktop v2.6.2 on Windows Server 2003. The error was the first dialogue box to appear, and no normal installation screens or prompts appeared.

There is an internal Tivo Desktop installer error: Can’t get local application data folder path - Server error: Failed to get user token, Error Code = 122 Error Description: Server Error: Failed to get user token, Error Code = 122
For help installing TiVo Desktop 2.5a,
please go to http://tivo.com/support and search for “install desktop”.
The error appeared when using Remote Desktop to try to install the software, and also appeared when trying to install the software as a restricted user.
Hope this post helps someone, since I spent far too long solving this issue.
