Total 'new guy' needs help - tivo to ipod

so I am a total techno idiot - so be gentle.....

we have a Pioneer 810H that we have had for years - I have just now found it is possible to move Tivo content to my iPod Touch - I told you I was an idiot with this stuff.....

So we only have TIVO basic service - can I still do this - or do you have to have FULL Tivo service to accomplish such a task - also - I have read some comments around software out there that can accomplish moving DVD and TIVO content to an iPod Touch - but none of the actual software is actually named - so any suggestions there would be appreciated as well -

TiVo Basic doesn't support the Home Media features like Multi Room Viewing or TivoToGo. You have to have a paid full subscription.

Or burn your shows to dvd, then rip to PC and then convert them.....probably a four step process.
