View Full Version : HD & desktop - no transfers, no netflix either

Well,

First, tivo desktop reports that it can't contact my Tivo HD.

My Tivo HD can see the other Tivo on the network (S2 DT) and sees the PC. But when I use the transfer feature on the PC to transfer a program from the HD to it, I get a message that it can't contact the HD.

Yes, I was on Tivo's website last night (evening of 12/9/08) and again this AM and note that my account has the boxes checked to allow transfers. And video downloads.

Second, I wanted to checkout that new Netflix stuff, but selecting it gets me the screen that suggests it's changing to display something, but instead returns to the main screen.

I'm thinking these problems must be related, any ideas what's wrong?

Oh, one last thing - is Amazon Unbox going away as a result of the addition of Netflix? If so, that's a disappointment. I used to rent from Netflix long ago when I could rent a single movie at a time. When they switched to their subscription stuff, I stopped. I just don't need another monthly bill. Unbox was a good substitute. Albeit with limited offerings.

the problems solved themselves.

After a couple additional calls to "The Mother Ship" all is well in TiVo HD land. Until next time. ;)
