Iv had just about every tivo out there..

My first tivo was a ptv-100 and i purchased lifetime service on it (years and years ago).

I currently have a series 3 in the living room.

I blew the dust off the ptv-100 and went to set it up in my sons room for him to record cartoons on - with the intention of using a usb ethernet adapter like i did with several series 2 tivo's, but forgot that the series 1 lacks the usb. (because we ditched the land line 5 years ago :)

So now im kicking around the idea of buying a turbonet card for it, but wanted to know if the S1 and S3 can share content?

--wish tivo would bring back the lifetime upgrade promo they ran a few years back.

The Series 1 boxes don't support any of the Home Media features like Multi Room Viewing that later TiVos have. With a TurboNet card and a lot of hacking and 3rd party tools you can run cool stuff like TivoWebPlus and even extract shows from the S1, but I don't know of any way to send them to it.

thats what I thought.

Im sure you could ftp em over to it, but i was more interested in the multi room viewing built in to tivo.

Thanks,
